Dive deeper into crafting with the laser cutter!

Join us as we venture into the possibilities of custom crafts with our Laser cutter in the Maker Lab.

In this project, you will learn how to use clear acrylic to create an artificial glass dreamcatcher.

You will get the opportunity to create your own design using Inkscape.

Which is free! From there you will be able to create your own designs and take home a custom craft created by YOU!

Whether you are just starting out or wanting to get more practice, these projects are a good way to build up your confidence when crafting with the laser cutter!

Registration is required as space is limited.

In this session of Made in the Maker Lab we will be creating Inset Earrings.

Come and enjoy popcorn and the movie In the Heart of the Sea.

In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. 

The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick, but that told only half the story. “Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive.

En el invierno de 1820, el barco ballenero New England Essex fue atacado por algo que nadie podía creer: una ballena de tamaño y fuerza colosales, y un sentido de venganza casi humano. 

El desastre marítimo real inspiraría la obra Moby-Dick de Herman Melville, pero eso contaba solo la mitad de la historia. “Alma de mar” revela las estremecedoras consecuencias del encuentro, cuando la tripulación sobreviviente del barco se ve llevada al límite y obligada a hacer lo impensable para sobrevivir.
