The Pasadena Public Library was just awarded the 2025 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award by the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association for the work we did that year! We are proud to serve our community and are honored to be recognized for our work to meet the informational, educational, and entertainment needs of our customers. Each year, TMLDA confers awards to public libraries for outstanding contributions to public service. Of the 516 public library systems in Texas, Pasadena Public Library is one of only 101 to receive the award for 2025, putting us in the top 20% of all public libraries in the state. To be considered for this award, public libraries must demonstrate excellence in services and initiatives in 10 distinct categories including services to the community and special populations, marketing, partnerships, creative initiatives, and more.
